One of the best plants for silver-grey contrast. The inconspicuous yellow flowers are very fragrant in June. Can be grown in any soil including seacoast. Fixes nitrogen.

Reddish brown stems, slender open form, tiny yellow flowers followed by silver berries. Very hardy, stoloniferous shrub that makes an excellent bank cover.
