Notes : One of the first trees to leaf out in the spring. The palmately compound leaves are unusual and attractive, especially in the autumn when the fall color is a range of shades of yellow, orange and red. Greenish-yellow flowers are produced on large panicles in spring followed by large light brown fruit capsules which contain the buckeye seed.
